At the end of the season, all of our leagues feature prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams...and then there's the bar champ.

Game Champs

At the end of each season, every sport has playoffs to determine the Game Champs.  Playoffs are a single-elimination tournament bracket.

• 1st Place Game Champs - This is the team who wins every match in the playoff bracket.  This team wins a huge bar tab, and every member of the team gets a gold medal.
• 2nd Place Game Champs - This is the team who loses in the playoff bracket finals.  This team wins a considerable bar tab, and every member of the team gets a silver medal.
• 3rd Place Game Champs - This is the team who loses in the playoff bracket semi-finals, but goes on for one more win.  This team wins a decent bar tab, and every member of the team gets a bronze medal.

Bar Champs

At NYC Social Sports Club, its more about the social than the sport.  That's why, in addition to Game Champ prizes, we award prizes every season to the Bar Champs.  These awards are determined by NYC Social Sports Club staff.  We look for a variety of qualities when looking at potential Bar Champs.  The winning teams represent everything we love about our leagues...they are veritable Social Sports Superstars!

Bar Champs tend to:

• Show up at the bar every week
• Foster terrific team spirit (even when losing!)
• Contact us with reasons why they should win
• Are loved by other teams and refs
• Create amazing team uniforms based on the league shirts
• Find new, fun ways to win Bar Champ!

The prize for Bar Champ is a bar tab equal to that of 1st Place Game Champ and NYC Social Sports Club Pint Glasses!  Additional qualifying teams may be awarded bar tabs equal to 2nd and 3rd Place Game Champ prizes (see above).
