Snakes in the Turf
Meet the Black Mambas (Royal).

Like their reptilian counterparts, these NYC Social Flag Football players are not only fast, but deadly. Don't think snakes are fast? First, read yourself some Wikipedia. Then, get to a night at our Wednesday Flag Football League in the LES and check out the speed on these players.
It's no wonder that the Black Mambas are currently the team to beat.
But more importantly, they're also the most photogenic team! Talk about being prepared. Not only did they bring props, but they also had their poses prepared.

I'd really love to end this with a good snake quote. Where's Samuel L. Jackson when you need him?!?

Even if you're missing a few members of the team for the team photo, they can still make it in there with some help from photoshop!

Media Blitz!

By popular demandd the post game interview extravaganze is coming straight from the internet gods to your face, and that is the way the pre-madonna wide receivers and cliche slanging QBs of the Tuesday Flag Football League like it. Last weeks round of games was stocked with last second touchdowns for wins and game changing pick 6s, but most importantly some carefully PR crafted cliche interview banter. Check out these post game interviews from some of the play makers from Tuesday Flag Football:

Joshua of Black and Yellows (black) dropped some knowledge bombs on the interception machine defense that the Black and Yellows introduced to Dharma (daisy) in a 43-19 victory.

Action Weekly also took some time after the game to catch up with Alexis, the triple threat QB, WR and Linebacker of The Black Mambas (red), to celebrate her teams last minute touchdown to win the game.

In a post game press conferenece with the deep threat receiver of Hoke and Ladder (orange), Devon, Action Weekly got the scoop on the best cliches for a pulling out a W and giving 110%.

Meet The Tuesday FF Teams, Part 2: The Vets
Football’s back! I’m not talking about the NFL, but NYC Social’s Tuesday Flag Football League. Granted it was a much shorter hiatus than that of our professional counterparts, but it was still great to see some of our veteran teams coming out for the inaugural night of Summer Flag Football at Chelsea Ballfields.
“The Mighty Ducks” is more than just a great retrospective on Joshua Jackson’s early years to Green Eggs and Pham (Lime). They turn to the flick to get inspiration for football. Their mantra for the season? “Ducks Fly Together! Quack Quack Quack!”

Don’t let their counting skills (or lack thereof?) fool you, these ten members of The Dirty Dozen (Sport Grey) plan on playing like there are twelve of them… even if they are down one certain charming, good looking blogger this season...(me!)

Doesn’t matter the outcome, The Replacements (Navy) are all about having fun. No matter what was thrown at them, this team wrapped up their night with a bit of team spirit, saying that as long as they enjoy themselves, everyone wins.

Just look at that pose! The Black Mambas (Red) obviously put a lot of thought into their game plan and, as their picture clearly demonstrates, these teammates are always ready to support each other. No wonder why their key to success is “be on the red team!”

DOUBLE G (Military) and BLACK AND YELLOWS (Black) certainly know the importance of team chemistry. Both of these teams have been on the NYC Social Flag Football circuit for a while now. Seeing familiar faces is always great and we hope they and our new teams keep coming back for more great matchups like Tuesday’s.

Black Mamba's Official Team Photo
The Black Mambas really love every member of their team. So when a few of them couldn't make it for the first game, they wanted to make sure the missing members were included in the team photo. Here is the result:
