From an entry on the blog, 'Burundi Kids' about the youth soccer program started by a progressive new village council chief:  "...Hutu and Tutsi youth are integrated in the teams and learning to play and socialize together.  I was treated to performances by the dance groups and an exhibition soccer game [...] these kids are playing without shoes and uniforms and have a hard time playing other teams due to these limitations.  It took quite an effort to get the one soccer ball they have and to secure the small plot of land on which to play.  He asked me if I could help him get soccer balls, uniforms, and shoes for his two teams."
