Sport(s) & Team Name(s)? California Dreamin' - indoor soccer (also played one season of mini golf on the team Pizza Put)

How did you get involved with your sport/team? I was missing home and missing soccer so I started a team with people from home. Most of them flaked and I ended up meeting some of the best friends I've had in NY

Where does your team name come from? Our team song ;)

Your Favorite NYC Social Moment? When we won our first championship and celebrated at Slainte yelling Ole! Ole! Ole!

A Team Trivia league?  Just what does that look like?  Here's a little peek into the basement bar of Legends to see the Tuesday night madness that is NYC Social Team Trivia!

Tony is the Quizmaster.  50 questions of assorted trivia spew forth from his mighty brain each week.

Teams of 6 gather around their tables for the mental sport.  There are a lot of teams, which adds to the liveliness of the room.

And in classic NYC Social fashion, the post-game party can get wild!

Director Andre strikes again!

Everyone enjoys a good game. And while none of the plays from NYC Social's flag football games may make Sportscenter's Top 10, the ending to this one had everyone on Roosevelt Island buzzing. 

Let's set the scene. There was plenty of scoring between Touchdown My Pants (kelly) and the Honey Badgers (sapphire). Touchdown My Pants, however, had less than a minute left and the game was tied at 33. Now check out the video, set to some cool music!

It sounded like Touchdown My Pants had a coach on their sideline, or at least a lot of support. Congrats to Touchdown My Pants for scoring the late touchdown and fighting off a late run from Honey Badgers. I'm sure both of these teams are looking forward to the playoffs, which is coming up soon!
